Total check of oppositional parties. So has begun check of activity of company "Oberon "

Financial Police of  Kyrgyzstan has begun check of activity of company " Oberon
" belonging to one of leaders of opposition Kubatbek Baibolov. On this on
January, 15th, 2008 informs  radio
" Azattyk".

As the owner of firm, oppositionist Kubatbek Bajbolov, has informed in interview
to radio,  representatives of  Republican Financial Police, having received the
sanction of the Lenin regional court, from now have begun check of activity of
the company. The basis for this  became renewal of closed before criminal case
according to which the firm on results of 2005 was accused of concealment from
payment of taxes to the sum of 1 million 200 000 soms.

Then this case has reached the Supreme court and was solved in favour of
"Oberon". Today the firm is going to address in the Bishkek city court in
connection with that it considers the  renewal by the State Office of Public
Prosecutor of the case closed earlier as  illegal.

As has declared K.Bajbolov, in a basis of this question lay political reasons.


Tax specialists will check up activity of oppositional  parties « Ata Meken »,
«Ar Namys», etc., since 1992

  The state committee of the Kyrgyz Republic on  taxes and tax collections has
directed the instruction №00084 to Socialist party «Ata Meken» on carrying out
of check of the subject of business.

As the executive  secretary of a party  «Ata Meken» Joomart Saparbaev informed,
on January, 15th, under the instruction of tax specialists the checked period
makes 15 years, that is from December, 16th 1992  till December, 31st, 2007.

« It is necessary to note, that it is the first check of tax instances from the
date of registration of a party, for last 15 years and the first check of
political parties in history of sovereign Kyrgyzstan », - speaks J.Saparbaev.

On his data, the same instructions have been directed to parties « the Party of
Green's», "Ar Namys" and in other oppositional parties.

  The Bishkek Interdistrict court on economic affairs under presidency of judge
Muktarbek Alymkulov, on January, 15th, 2008, has given up in satisfaction of
the judicial claim of human rights activists Nurbek Toktakunov,  Dinara
Oshurahonova and Maxim Kuleshov about  cancelling of the Decision Bishkek City
Council « About the statement of rules of carrying out of assemblies, meetings,
processions, demonstrations and pickets in territory of Bishkek ».

Let's remind, Bishkek City Council has approved the given decision at session on
November, 30th, 2007. According to the decision, meetings and pickets in capital
are authorized for spending only in three places - on the Old square, in square
of Gorky  or in park " Youth " under condition of the prior notification of
bodies of the government or institutions of local government not less than 10
days prior to its beginning.

However with criticism of such decision of capital city council acted  both
local and international human rights activists  and organizations, and also
known lawyers and public figures . After acceptance by city council of this
decision with an interdiction to spend in capital such actions, in December of
2007 and in January, 2008 were detained participants of protest actions « I Do
not believe! »
