Since January 31 employees of NTVRC continue hunger-strike.  Acoording to them
now  in the action take part 25 person, across  all republic  them  supported
more than 100 person.  They have begun hunger-strike in building of NTVRC but
Head of it Melis Eshimkanov forbid carrying out of meetings in a building of
Broadcasting Company.


Participants of hunger-strike were  turned out from a building of the National
TV and Radio Corporation of  Kyrgyzstan and do let in building. About it at
press conference in Bishkek was declared by participants of hunger-strike.
They demand leaving from a post of general director of NTVRC Melis Eshimkanov,
informs news agency.
Some of participants already feel themselves bad. One of participants of action,
ex-deputy chief of NTVRC, Beishenbek Bekeshov informed that, yestearday two
strikers Raya Alieva and Jide Abdymamytova were hospitalized. It is 6 days
since employees of NTVRC started hunger-strike, demanding leaving from a post
the management of company. In turn head of company declares that demands of
participants of action are groundless. Hunger strike continue in the house of
Beishenbek Bekeshov.

Dear Kurmanbek Salievich!
Faithfully following idea of revolution since March, 2005, the national channel
comprehensively carried out your policy of unity and well-being of Kyrgyzstan.
It was difficult to struggle against  imaginary opposition,  during November
and April meetings of the last years. Protecting interests of the state and
nationally elected president of the country, we risked, not passing to the
channel at that time  aggressive-oppositioner  M.Eshimkanov  and his
supporters. Prosecutions of active workers-supporters of Bakiev started.
Melis Eshimkanov from the moment of the assignment for a post of  General
director of NTVRC under name of reform developed adventurous and obviously
harmful activity. All the matter is that, newly made general director of NTVRC
has begun the grandiose personnel and structural transformations on the main
channel, not having in stock neither the decree of president KR about
re-structuring, nor the decision or order. Thus on producer assembly of NTVRC
on December, 22nd, 2007 M.Eshimkanov has declared: « We have developed new
structure of TV, it was approved by Kurmanbek Salievich. Since this moment we
work according to new structure ». He did not represent certified document.  As
it was found out later, given transformation Eshimkanov spent on the basis of
his own order, and presented it as it was from the president of the country.
Constant reference of Eshimkanov on close friendship with members of family of
president Bakiev and the coordination of each illegal action with them became a
theme #1 in NTVRC. In the first days of the assignment M.Eshimkanov promised to
collective mullions-strong investments. one of sources should become the
contract with a management of "RTR-planet" on the basis of which were assumed
monetary injections at a rate of 60-70 million soms annually due to advertising
on the channel . Under M.Eshimkanov's statement, on one of producer meetings,
these means go directly to Maxim Bakiev. « It is my gift to him », - bragged
M.Eshimkanov, hinting that now on his hook is  favourite son of the president
of the country Maxim. Probably, therefore  Eshimkanov  had firm confidence that
he never will be removed from a supervising post. Even last illegal action of
Eshimkanov concerning starving employees of NTVRC, whom he violently turned out
on street, happened  referring to the coordination with the president of the
country. (it was declared by Eshimkanov on February, 1st on news of channel
NTS). We do not want, the NTVRC resembled as unscrupulous and cheap  "Agym"
which turns in ideological  weapon against stability in the country. We cannot
bear such arbitrariness, restraining our creative, labour and civil rights.
This is  the main reason, which pushed us on termless hunger-strike.
Dear Kurmanbek Salievich!
Convincingly we ask your audience and assistance in the decision of a question
of resignation of M.Eshimkanov from a post of  General director of NTVRC. We
ask you to not trust him supervising posts in the state structures of the
country. We believe, that our president - is the main guarantor of legality and
stability in Kyrgyzstan. We hope for your attention and support.
