Hunger-strikers despite of refusal of the president of Kyrgyzstan to accept
resignation of the head of NTVRC, will continue their action

Strikers, more than 20 person despite of refusal of the president of Kyrgyzstan
Kurmanbek Bakiev  to accept resignation of the head of National TV and Radion
Corporation Melis Eshimkanov, will continue their action.
«First, about the given decision of the head of the state there was no
communique. Secondly, we believe, that Kurmanbek Bakiev will hear our requests
and references and the decision that will suit us will be accepted - Melis
Eshimkanov will be exempt  from a post », - have informed they .
According to participants of the action, them support colleagues.  « They also
have told, that now the management of the state channel demands from
subordinated to sign the letter in support of the present general director.
Otherwise they are threatened with dismissal », - supplement strikers...
Today, as informed IA «24.kg» referring to sources in administration of
president KR, the head of the state has refused to accept resignation of the
head of National telebroadcasting corporation Melis Eshimkanov.
The application on resignation addressed to Kurmanbek Bakiev, Melis Eshimkanov
has submitted yesterday. Thus he refused to give explanations and comments
concerning his decision.
In NTVRC  for two weeks proceeds opposition between Melis Eshimkanov and a part
of employees of the state channel . The last are dissatisfied with personnel
selection and reforms of the chief. Some of them, demanding resignation of head
of NTVRC, even have gone on hunger strike, which proceeds some days. (since
January, 31 and  two strikers are already in a grave condition in hospital)
