Authorities of Kyrgyzstan confirm, that Taiwan is a part of China. With such statement acts the Ministry for Foreign Affairs on behalf a name of government KR, informs press-service of department .

On its data, necessity of such reference has arisen « in connection with the decision of authorities of Taiwan to organize on March, 22nd, 2008 a referendum about the entering into the United Nations ».

confirms its principle position, fixed in the Contract about good neighbourhood, friendship and cooperation with the Peoples Republic of China from 2002. The Kyrgyz side recognizes, that in the world there is only one China. Its management is the only lawful representing government, and Taiwan - an integral part of its territory. Kyrgyzstan opposes any forms of independence of Taiwan, against attempts of creation « two China "," one China, one Taiwan », against participation of Taiwan in any international organizations which participants can be only the sovereign states », - is emphasized in the statement.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kyrgyzstan « expresses concern by the decision of administration of island which is capable to threaten the world and stability in area of Taiwan strait ».
