16.06.2008 : Students of art school declare that they were expeled for the request of  normal conditions for study

In the Kyrgyz state art school has inflamed the conflict which has caused
expulsion of several students, dismissal of the teacher and opening of criminal
case on suspicion in distribution of the literature of forbidden party
«Hizb-ut-Tahrir» against one student. Their version of an event today, on June,
11th, 2008 in agency AKIpress told expeled students Begimaj Nasipova and Zyinat
Momunbaeva.

According to girls, the beginning of the conflict started from requests of the
students living in a hostel, to director of school to open for them the common
workshop for manufacturing of hand-made articles from a leather. As students
explain, in rooms where in narrowness live eight person  it was difficult to
do, as the leather at processing exhales an unpleasant smell.

As tell B.Nasipova and Z.Momunbaeva, now overwhelming part of rooms of a
student's institution are rented in commercial purposes to families not having
any relation to school .

But numerous requests of pupils to address of director of educational
institution Tabyldy Baibosunov have not conceived any action. « The ground
floor of a five-storey building is half equipped as cafe, half as the house
which belong to the son of director. Only in 10 rooms  live students, in the
others live relatives of director and the commandant, and the most part under
rent», - tell students.

However girls were not interested in details of " commercial affairs » of
director - they asked only for a workshop to have an opportunity freely to
work, make products from a leather, fabrics and to develop the talent.

Evening of  January, 22nd became a new source of conflicts. The junior student
Zyinat Momunbaeva  was doing a homework - product from  a leather, at which
manufacturing she worked with a hammer. Living below woman was indignant with
this and has demanded silence and when knock of a hammer has not stopped, she
together with her husband and to two daughters came in a room of the student
and has beaten Momunbaeva and other girls being in room. «man that beat me
serves in militia, and is the brother of director Bajbosunova », - speaks
Momunbaeva.

Students council  persuaded girls to not write the application to militia on the
fact of  physical injuries, to prevent conflict.  The history was forgotten,
however girls did not cease to ask to open a workshop. There was no  answer
from management of school.  That in a hostel there are no conditions, students
have decided to write in Ministry of Culture.

Having learned about it, according to girls, the management of school and
hostel has started to press on girls, in every possible way to threaten them
with beating and expulsion.  The management of an educational institution has
directed to parents of girls a number of letters in which it was spoken, that
their children are expeled for non-attendance of classes. « To my parents they
have written, that they must take me away urgently, that ostensibly I was going
to jump out of a window and even hung up, thus they have not told us, that we
were expeled», - speaks Momunbaeva.

« All these years we studied good, teachers support us, we have only told the
truth about disorder in a hostel. They do not give us an opportunity to study.
they expeled us illegally », - speak participants of press conference and show
to journalists the test books.

In this occasion on April, 3rd, 2008, remained 3 students have declared protest
action. They have demanded to restore them in school and to create normal
conditions for study.

Under the version of a management of school, the students obeyed in all their
tutor Asan Tursunkulov who has opened in a hostel prayer room and agitated
students and teachers against a management. According to director of art school
T.Bajbosunov,  girls have given in to arrangements of the tutor and did not
attend classes, for it they have been expeled,  and later in prayer room were
found  books which ostensibly have been released  by party « Hizb-ut-Tahrir».

As it is said in  T.Bajbosunov's message, in prayer room also was found the
diary of the former student of school O.uulu S., of religious contents. Later
concerning the student was opened criminal case for participation in activity
of the forbidden religious party. Tutor A.Tursunkulov was  dismissed also.

According to B.Nasipova and Z.Momunbaeva, prayer  room existed there more than
15 years, and « it was visited by believing students whom you will not name
fanatics ». « And the literature, according to witnesses, have thrown there
members of the administrative board  and have called militia », - speaks
B.Nasipova.

Students  believe that the conflict which has occured in art school  and in
hostel, will be solved by  representatives of the Ministry of culture and other
authorized  persons.
