16.09.2008 : Relatives of the condemned in a colony 16 declare about «brutal punishments over prisoners»

Relatives of the condemned, serving time in a corrective colony ? 16 today, on August 19th, 2008, at press conference in agency AKIpress have told the version of events on August 14th in a colony.

Let's remind, in the night from 14 for August, 15th, in a colony ? 16 there was a murder of two officers of a colony: 49-year-old Saparbek Dzhumataev and 31-year-old Dulatbek Adenov. According to the deputy minister of justice Sergey Zubov, one of the prisoners - 43-year-old Kadyrbek Abdyshev, which was sentenced by Bakaj-Atinsk district court to the death penalty for murder was involved in murder.

Then, as the special public prosecutor on supervision over correctional facilities, Kubanychbek Mamakeev informed at press conference in Bishkek, «when in a colony prisoners made attempts of organizing disorders, 39 of “ardent instigators” (organizers) started steel  in SIZO-1, in which K.Abdyshev and Ermek Urmanbetov have been killed.

In murders of prisoners, according to S.Zubov next day, four condemned which have killed cellmates by suffocation » on August, 15th, 2008 told the reason they did it, apparently because “Abdyshev and Urmanbetov have undergone to a search and inconveniences all 700 concluded of the colony # 16”.

Today wives and mothers of four prisoners: Elena Pozdnikova, Irina Ibraimova, Anzhelika Alagozova and Julduz Mirzamahmudova have declared that «management of central administrative board of execution of punishments (CDBEP) together with special troops with the assistance of deputy minister S.Zubov, instead of objective investigation of murders of persons on duty and acceptance of the corresponding measures provided by the law, in revenge, have made brutal punishment over the prisoners, not having any relation to incident», and since then is exposed to severe tortures.

 “On 14th of August I was on long appointment with my husband, approximately from 20 o'clock till 21 o'clock we have heard shots. Then my husband has withdrawn and on my eyes was beaten rigidly - now he has a broken clavicle. Other prisoners have undergone to the same fate, they got broken edges and teeth beaten out”, - tells I.Ibraimova. On press conference of the information available for participants, to prisoner K.Abdyshev have called and have informed that his wife was raped by people in uniform. He, became angry, and has done wounds to security, saying like that way ostensibly have been killed the 2-employee from protection of a colony. Relative of prisoners condemn actions of Abdyshev, however as they said «management of the CDBEP should punish only him, instead of subjecting all prisoners to severe beatings».

«14th of August, after what happened all the prisoners have been tired out into the club, where from they were deduced each on a parade-ground, beaten with armature, shovels and bludgeons. We assume that Urmanbetov and Abdyshev were shipped to the car already dead. They were not killed actually by prisoners – by prison concepts convicts do not kill convicts. After all if they have died of suffocation why relatives till now did not get their bodies», - tells E.Pozdnikova.

According to her words, next day, on August 15th «the remained prisoners have forced to stay all day in a lap on a parade-ground under the sun, i.e. have applied to them physical and moral violence». «And now they want to hang all these deaths up on prisoners», - speak relatives of the condemned.

At the present time, according to mother of one of the prisoners J.Mirzamahmudova, «prisoners of 16th colony do not get transfer, do not get feed and do not get render medical aid, they just keep being beaten». “We got the information that because of the beatings three condemned have died”, - she has informed.
