One of leaders of the forbidden organization « Hizb ut - Tahrir» is detained in Kyrghyzstan and secretly extradicted to Uzbekistan

The head of the informational-analytical center of an extremist party «Hizb ut-Tahrir» in the Central Asia, the arrested in Kyrghyzstan, was secretly extradicted to Uzbekistan. IA "Prima -News" informs with the reference to human rights defenders of KR. According to their data, Otabek Muminov, 34-years old native of Tashkent has been detained in Osh on the 28th of November 2006 during the operation with participation of special services of Kazahstan and recently extradicted to authorities of RU.
In the Committee of national safety of Kazakhstan informed, that Otabek Muminov was one of key figures of the forbidden organization. He ostensibly supervised over the informational-analytical center of "Hizb ut-Tahrir" in the Central Asia region. According to data of "Prima-News", there was nothing about his arrest in mass media of KR.
Otabek Muminov, writes "Prima-News", - graduated university in Atlanta (USA). In «Hizb ut-Tahrir» has entered in 1999. In April, 2001 has been compelled to emigrate from Uzbekistan because of prosecution of special services. Till June, 2004 disappeared in Shymkent (Kazakhstan), later with the wife and three children has moved to the city of Osh where lived under false documents. The Osh city court has recognized him guilty on a several articles of Criminal code of KR: excitation religious and an ethnic animosity, illegal crossing of border, using of obviously false document and partnership in forging of documents, also has sentenced to three years of the jail in colony - settlement.
On March, 20, 2007 ОOtabek Muminov has addressed to the State committee on migration and employment of KR with the request for granting a political asylum. In April 2007 similar application his wife has submitted. The State Committee did not satisfied the application referring to that this state body considers only questions of granting of the status of the refugee, instead of a political asylum.
As IA "Prima-News" asserts on June, 1 condemned was secretly transferred to Uzbekistan where he accused of fulfilment of some penal crimes, including an encroachment on constitutional build. According to this article he is supposed to have death penalty. Except that, there are widely applied tortures in Uzbekistan. Family of Otabek Muminov has returned to Uzbekistan because of that.
The ex-tradition as marks IА "Prima-News", threatens one more political emigrant - to the supporter of «Hiz ut-Tahrir», to the arrested person one of these days in the city of Dzhalal Abad. According to the State committee of national safety of KR to which the agency refers, the citizen was searched in adjacent Uzbekistan on accusation of terrorism, diversion and the organization of criminal community. Under the information of human right defenders the center "Memorial", 43-years Mukumodjon Mahmudov, arrested by special services KR, is the native of the Osh area. In the beginning of 1990th years he got citizenship, and in 2000 is condemned for a belonging to «Hizb ut-Tahrir» for four years of imprisonment.
Appearing on freedom, Mukumudjon Mahmudov has decided to return to Kyrghyzstan. Recently he with wife and four children lived in Dzhalal Abad. Mukumudjon Mahmudov as assert in "Memorial", contains in regional management in Osh and has no access to the lawyer. Local human right defenders are afraid, that the political emigrant can be given to Uzbekistan where against him accusation is forged and tortures can be applied.
"Prima-News" marks, that the Uzbek refugees living in KR, inform even on two similar incidents having a place in the spring of 2007. «on March, 5, 2007 four employees of militia in Osh, having checked up documents of Shuhsatbek Israilov and having found out in his certificate of the refugee, have taken out it to border where tried to sell to the Uzbek officer for $200, - informs IA "Prima-News." - After the refugee has expressed readiness to pay this sum itself, they have arrived on an apartment which that rented, have taken away money, a cellular telephone and have promised to come next day behind the missing sum. After that Shuhsatbek Israilov has urgently taken off to Bishkek».
Other case to which refers "Prima-News", has taken place with the former head of the Bukhara regional organization of opposition party "Erk" Nasrullo Sajidovym. He is declared in search in the next Uzbekistan in March, 2006 on criminal case distribution of audio records of " antistate songs ».
