In Kyrgyz-Turkish lyceum for boys " Sebat" pupils from 9 to 11 classes are
forced to keep during Muslim sacred month Ramazan
abstinence from food and drink for religious purposes . However not all
pupils can all the day fast, some children have strongly grown thin, and sink
into a faint. Despite of it they are not
authorized to stop an abstinence, that is
negatively reflected in study and their health. The majority of children
keeping an abstinence do it not at personal desire or
belief, they are afraid to interrupt it.
