After president Bakiev visited Osh, the pressure upon oppositional parties strengthened

President Kurmanbek Bakiev on December 3 visited Osh, during his visit he openly supported party “Ak Jol”, after this the pressure upon oppositional parties
strengthened. Moreover representatives of some political parties are being attacked and threatened.

On presentation of Tomography center in Osh, president Kurmanbek Bakiev said that party “Ak Jol” is on the right way and that he believes that its activity
will be successful:

- this party gives all its efforts for people, leads them in the right way and calls them for unity and labor, that is why it will be supported by people,- said president.

At the same day, in the evening to Uzbek supporters of party “Ata Meken” in Nookat area, came unknown men and demanded: “You should  not support this
party!  Otherwise it would be better for you to move from this area!”

And in village Kurshap of Ozgon area unknown men tried to kill the head of local staff  of the same party Mr. Alisher Usmanov. About this “Freedom” was informed
by member of staff of “Ata Meken” in Osh, Mr. Bakyt Alpetov:

- our electoral posters and leaflets are being tear off. To meetings of “Ak Jol” party invite militiamen.

The same obstacles faces the Social Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan, party of ex-prime minister – Almaz Atambaev, on it informs head of the staff of this
party in Osh, Mr. Alymbai Kadyrov:

- there are facts of damaging our elections posters and leaflets. When we ask for halls to organize our meetings, heads of different organizations  suggest
us to spend meetings outside,- said Alymbai Kadyrov.

The head of staff of party “Ak Jol’ in Osh, mr. Kubanych Isakov confirmed the facts of pressure upon other parties. But, at the same time he said that “Ak
Jol” has nothing to do with it:

- there are facts of tear off the election materials of some parties.

In opinion of independent expert Rustam Ahamatov in Kyrgyzstan for a long time rules an authoritarian regime:

- all scandals rest on courts. But courts can not solve political problems. In parties does not work democratic system.

In Karakol parties except for “Ak Jol”  faces obstacles

About it informed inhabitant of village Ak Terek Aigul Seitkulova. According to her, on December 4 near the Issykkul state university in Karakol town where
party “Aalam” planned to spend a meeting with voters, came supporters of party “Ak Jol” and organized concert. Those having impeding to party “Aalam” to spend
a meeting. Management of university ordered to students vote only for “Ak Jol’, presidential party. Informs Seitkulova.

The coordinator of SDPK in Bazarkorgon area was beaten.

About it informed member of SDPK Jusup Jeenbekov. As he said on December 4 the members of named party spend a meeting with voters, after which the coordinator was beaten by unknown men and hospitalized. Jeenbekov says that by tearing off the election materials of SDPK, by threatening the authorities use unlawful methods. “on weekend during meeting of “Ak Jol” Atabek Madanbekov asked superfluous questions, for this reason he was detained by militia. He is
accused of hooliganism and arrested. Today authority force people to keep silence. Every head of local administration, every governor, do what they want
not looking at laws. They trying to satisfy president, on the contrary antagonize people  against president”,- informs Temir Sariev.
