Members of party “Ata Meken” started hunger strike

As informed coordinator of this party, in Osh oblast Bakyt Kalpetov to radio
“Azattyk” termless hunger strike began today at 10.00 in the morning.  “we are
not agree with results of elections. During election were used administrative
resources, results of elections were falsificated, the rights of citizens were
roughly infringed, besides, there were facts of threatening the
oppositionists”,- said Bakyt Kalpetov. According to him hunger strike was
started by 10 person, later 40 person joined them. Action pass in staff of
party, it is possible that it will start in other oblasts too. Meetings will
start after Kurman Ayt.

To this action joined party “Ar Namys”. About it informed the coordinator of “Ar
Namys” in Osh Anvar Artykov. According to him at 11.30 15 person began hunger
strike.


Representatives of two parties “Ar Namys” and “Ata Meken” started hunger strike
as a sign of protest  with result of elections. Hunger strike pass in south of
Kyrgyzstan – city of Osh.

Already 70 members of Ata Meken joined action of hunger strike as a sign of
protest with results of elections. According to M. Akmatov, action pass under
initiative of staff of Ata Meken, 50 person in oblast staff and 20 in city
staff.
Also in action participate some people across Osh oblast. Hunger strike began in
connection with disagreements with results of elections. Participants of action
demand from authorities the next: repeated calculation of votes and taking real
decisions on applications about infringements, fixed by observers of Ata Meken
during elections.
According to Akmatov the action is termless. On his data authorities of Osh and
oblast, law enforcement bodies and hospitals are informed about action.
The leader of Ata Meken assert that members of parties “Asaba” and “Kut” support
this action. To participants of hunger strike plan to join inhabitants of
Karakuldja and Karasuu areas.
In Bishkek near the building of CEC pass youth action “I don’t believe…”
concerning election to parliament passed on December 16. young people declare
that they do not believe in results of elections and prejudice the impartial
work of CEC in organization of elections.

At the present moment near the CEC gathered about 20 students – participants of
action, about 20 militiamen warned students to disperse, referring on decision
of Mayor of Bishkek, according to which meetings, demonstrations should pass in
certain places.



in turn students declared, that according Constitution they have lawful right on
peace meetings and decision of Mayor contradicts to main law of state.
Militiamen detained all participants of action. They took them away to Pervomay
RDIA.

Party Ata Meken demand to recognize election as invalid. About it said in
statement of party from December 18 which was sounded on press conference by
Temir Sariev, one of the leaders of the party.

“authorities and president of KR, declaring referendum, said that in Kyrgyzstan
will be stability and peace. But we have all facts and proves about mass
infringements and falsifications, a lot of voters could not vote, their
electoral rights were infringed”,- said in statement.

”we demand to call to criminal responsibility all heads of administrations and
other representatives of local authorities for breaking the laws and using of
administrative resource. The heads and members of electoral commissions are
responsible for these facts too”,- said  in statement.

”Ata Meken declares about crime on a national scale and demand to recognize
elections as invalid, we will protect the rights of our voters”.

”for now there are no official results, but party Ata Meken decided to make
preliminary results” , - said Sariev. According to him, these figures are
proven by reports from all electoral commissions in areas, and final results
will be announced later.

as he noticed, according to CEC, on December 16 voted more than 1 mln 906
thousand voters. “but this figure is raise too high, on 900 thousand people,
which as it appeared were for party “Ak Jol”. Our calculations have shown, that
on elections voted 1 mln people”,- said he.

today in Bishkek were detained participants of action “I don’t believe…”, at
present time they are on Pervomay RDIA. The journalist of AKIpress was detained
by militia too. But now they released him.

“in RDIA detained 19 students, to them do not let lawyers, although according to
law they have the right on lawyer. Also militia do not let in building the
representatives of OSCE and journalist without any reasons. They speak to us in
very rough form”,- said Voronina.

besides, as it became known, at present time one of participants Tilek Sydykov
transferred to another place – he informed on it himself by phone.

”students refuse to write explanatory letters, and they are subjected to
pressure. We ask, independent lawyers and independent human rights
organizations to come here and protect the rights of this young people”,- said
Voronina.

according to her, head of Pervomay RDIA, explaining to her reasons of detention
of students, declared that, they illegally spent action, referring on City
Council that decided to permit meetings only in certain places.

at present time to RDIA arrived chairman of commission for human rights
Tursunbek Akun, also near building gathered journalists and human rights
activists, representatives of OSCE.

Falsifications  during elections on December 16 by authorities

candidate to deputies from party Ata Meken, Kubatbek Baibolov on press
conference declared that, they have audio-recording of meetings, spent 2-3 days
before elections and on which  members of electoral commissions received special
instructions. “…and instructions of people, talking about all methods applied in
state during 15 years were so cynic… for example, they suggested next: stick on
nails, glue inside of nail shank and during calculation of votes, insensibly
damage “wrong” bulletin. And they did it”,- said he.

  Ex-deputy also told, that in of schools members of electoral commission, when
observers asked him to show list of voted, sit down on document to not show
them. “but observers took it away, and they made sure that it was made up. And
under secret this woman was compelled to write letter-confession. We have it”,-
underlined Baibolov.


In connection with this facts Ata Meken demand re-election on some polling sites
of capital and in Chui, Issykkul, Talas and Naryn oblasts and fully in Osh city,
Batken and Zhalalabad oblasts.
