| 02.03.2006 Results of sociological interrogation of the Bishkek students on a theme "Corruption in higher education". Bishkek. (Agency “AKIpress) - During sociological interrogation of students of Bishkek, carried out with assistance of Found by name of F.Ebert, in Kyrgyzstan on February, 8-12th, 2006, on a theme " Corruption in higher education ", 1000 students of day time branches of 10 high schools of Bishkek have been interrogated. The sociological service "Social informational bureau", which carried out interrogation, informs on it. Students of following high schools participated in interrogation:
the American University in the Central Asia, Bishkek Humanitarian
University, the Kyrgyz State University of Construction and Architecture,
the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, Medical Academy, the International
University of Kyrgyzstan, National State University by name of Balasagyn
, the Kyrgyz Agrarian University by name of Skryabin, the Kyrgyz Technical
University, the Kyrgyz State Academy of Physical training and Sports
. From all interrogated students of city about half (48 % from total amount of selection) did not get in a corruption situation in the High schools. It means, that scope of corruption in the higher school of Bishkek makes 52%. Scope of corruption means - a part of the students got though once during training in high school in a corruption situation irrespective of they have bribed or not. And state employees and contract students in identical position -
break between them makes only 1%. To the date of graduation of high
school students "get used" to corruption attitudes. If on
the first course 61,0% of interrogated first-year students have told,
that did not get in a corruption situation, among the students of
fifth –year students such answers gave only 36,9%. For studying public opinion of students of Bishkek the method of the standardized interview (face-to-face interview) has been used. Interviewing was spent on the basis of the questionnaire, anonymously, in Russian, in a place of study. Among the interrogated respondents: 52,0 %- men; 70,8 % of interrogated –study on the contract, the rest 29,2 % - on a budgetary basis; on a nationality - Kyrgyzs (51,9 %), Russian 27,6%, representatives of other nationalities - 20,5%.
