About it writes magazine "VPK " referring to the commander-in-chief of military-air forces of Russia Vladimir Mihajlov. As he said, the quantity of planes on an air base will be increased three times. " We plan, that in the long term here (in village Kant ) it will be possible to throw over for a day from any air station, including from the Far East, from the West, enough quantity of aviation technics ", - so has depicted prospect V. Mihajlov. According to the General staff of the Air Forces, now on the Russian air base in village Kant is deployed five attack planes “Su-25, two helicopters Mi-8, four teaching -training planes L-39. But already it is absolutely soon planned to place and fighters “Su-27. They are necessary for antiaircraft defense, and also conducting air fights, covering of armies, strategic objects, etc. Introduction in the central-Asian region of the aviameans intended for fulfillment of aims of air defence, is a new step in the decision of defensive problems, marks magazine “VPK”. It is necessary to note, that the decision on increase a number of a contingent and flying park of an air base "Kant", according to the Agreement " About the status and conditions of stay of the Russian aviation base in territory of the Kyrgyz Republic " is a prerogative of the Russian party.
