| 21.04.2006 Bishkek. (Agency “AKIpress’) –Almazbek Atambaev submits to resignation from a post of Minister of the industry, trade and tourism. Below the full text of the statement of A.Atambaev. " We, social democrats of Kyrgyzstan, were in the forefront those who struggled with a former mode, who with many of the adherents has came on the square and has managed to win. We supported the new authority, promised to lead radical reforms, in short term to be quit of corruption and sharply raise well-being of people. However, what occurs actually, causes deep indignation. In the Supreme authority domesticity, as before, began to prosper. Struggle against corruption is still limited to rhetoric. The reforms, called to put a barrier of usurpation of authority by the head of the state, to muddle of officials, are endlessly postponed. In the meantime, as never, conditions in republic has become aggravated criminogenic. Criminality not only has lifted a head, not only has felt in postrevolutionary chaos like a duck to water, but also openly come on the square, presses on authority, threatens, compels a management of republic " to dance under the pipe ". Instead of resisting to criminality, to tire out it in a corner, to neutralize, using for this purpose all necessary means, the Supreme authority, as a matter of fact, fraternizes with it, goes at it on an occasion, enables criminal authorities freely to enter into power structures. Thus the idea is inspired to people, as if all is done in strict conformity with the law, as if no infringements are present. Becomes clear why the marauders plundered Bishkek, till now are not punished, why to the victims - and their many, many hundreds - till now does not pay indemnification. Becomes clear for what the authority more and more concentrates in one hands. And all this - under a smoke screen of the general phrases about democratism that, alas, there is no trace of it. Pharisaism of a former mode grows dim before present statements of the country leaders. And a turn of loud custom-made murders and the attempts shaking our society? And aspiration to make parliament and mass-media pocket? And poverty y which expand every day? And fear and uncertainty in the tomorrow, seized vast masses of the population of the country? No, not for this purpose revolution was made, not for this purpose tandem Bakiev-Kulov was created. With bitterness it is necessary to recognize, that we were mistaken: the rudder of the state is directed not at that course. And we are going to declare directly it on peace meeting on April, 29th. We are going to demand resolutely from a tandem the execution of the promises, given to people on the eve of presidential elections. In this connection I retire from a post of minister of the industry, trade and tourism. The future of my country for me is more important than a ministerial armchair.
