Gulistan. The legal expert, the chairman of Syr-Darya regional branch of Society for human rights of Uzbekistan A.Farmonov is detained.

Detention of the legal expert, the chairman of Syr-Darya regional branch of remedial organization "the Society for Human rights of Uzbekistan" Azamjon Farmonov.  

On April, 29th, 2006  at 11:00  o’clock  nearby 80 persons,  the employees of Service of National Safety, militia and Offices of Public Prosecutor, 20 person among them rushed  into  apartment  of Azamjon Farmonov , the chairman of Syr-Darya regional branch  of Society for Human rights  of Uzbekistan ,  the rest  remained on street. At that time Azamjon was not at home. Having seen so much people from unexpectedness and a nervous overstrain, the spouse  of Azamzhon Farmonov Ozoda Yakubova  has lost consciousness. About it to me has told Nargiza Yakubova,  the younger  daughter of  Tolib Yakubov by phone in 16:50  o’clock . As she said , the search in apartment  of Azamjon Farmonov still proceeds. The employees of law enforcement bodies from the house have taken away a computer, documents, papers and other things, concerning the remedial activity of the legal expert. First aid has taken away Ozoda Farmonova in a maternity hospital.  She  was  at last month  of pregnancy. Azamjon Farmonov  have  been detained in the street. Alisher Karamatov, chairman  of Mirzaabadskij regional branch  of Society for human rights of Uzbekistan  of  Syr-Darya region  is also detained. On both legal experts criminal cases o are raised on initiative  of Dzhizak regional Office of Public Prosecutor,  under the claim of farmer Uktam Mamatkulov. They are accused in extortion.

From Tashkent to Gulistan (the regional center of Syr-Darya region ) have left Talib Yakubov,  chairman  of Society for human rights  of Uzbekistan , Mamatkul Muhtorov , the chairman of Samarkand regional branch of society for human rights of Uzbekistan , Bahtiyor  Hamroev,   the chairman of  Dzhizak  regional branch  of Society for human rights of Uzbekistan.

Tashkent - on April, 29th, 2006 in office of branch  of society for human rights of Uzbekistan in Gulistan representatives of law enforcement bodies  came three times. First at 11.00, then at 14.00 and then, in 16.00. Nearby 30 person  rushed into a premise in which there were legal experts. They appeared from everywhere, Talib Yakubov, the  chairman  of Society for human rights tells, both through windows and through doors. All on the way destroyed , and  beat.
The pregnant woman who literally one of these days should give birth (by phone was not possible  to hear a name  of suffered). Now suffered is under supervision of physicians. Three active workers  of society for human rights of Uzbekistan have been  arrested, as suspected under clause  165 of criminal  code, providing punishment for extortion. As the basis for arrest the application of the farmer which has accused  Azam Farmonov in extortion of 600 thousand  sum has served.

Among arrested persons Azam Farmonov,  the chairman of Syr-Darya regional branch  of Society for human rights of Uzbekistan ; Alisher Karamatov,  the chairman  of Mirzaminskij  regional branch of Syr-Darya  region and Mamatkul Muhtarov ,  the chairman of Samarkand regional branch  of society for human rights of  Uzbekistan.  On a place of incident  were Talib Yakubov, Bahtiyar Hamraev, and others.
This everything, that had time  to tell by phone  Talib Yakubov, communication with which has sharply broken and while to restore it is not possible.
