Uzbekistan: the son of the human rights defender Saidjahon Zainobiddinov is arrested

According to sources « Fergana.Ru » in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, several days ago by employees of law enforcement bodies the son of the human rights defender Saidjahon Zainobiddinov - Ilhom is detained.

At the end of the last year Andizhan the human rights defender Saidjahon Zainobiddinov has been sentenced to seven years of imprisonment for distribution to mass-media of false data on events to Andizhan on May 13, 2005. The court above the human rights defenders passed in the closed mode. Prior to the beginning of court S.Zajnobiddinov's relatives knew nothing about his site.

Children of Zainobiddinov, independent observers and colleagues of the human rights defender consider, that real sin of Saidjahon became dialogue with foreign reporters. In days of the Andizhan events of May 2005, the head of Andizhan human rights the organizations "Appeal" by Saidjahon Zainobeddinov actively allowed interview to the Russian and foreign journalists. In one of plots of the Russian telechannel "NTV" spectators could see, how S.Zajnobiddinov showed sleeves from a large-caliber machine gun and the children's footwear collected by him in the streets of Andizhan after mass execution of peace inhabitants.

Under data of « Fergana.Ru », the son of the human rights defender Ilhom Zainobiddinov is arrested for recently continuing business of his father and has established connections with his familiar, colleagues and partners.

Recently natives of Saidjahon Zainobiddinov, visiting the human rights defender in prison, began to refuse meetings with him. Later some days he has been arrested and so was Ilhom Zainobeddinov.
