The Uzbek political scientists accuse NGO of Kyrghyzstan that use them for subversive activities in region

A number of the foreign so-called "nongovernmental" organizations tries to lead in Uzbekistan subversive activities from territory of the south of Kyrghyzstan. It was declared by Press-uz.info by the expert of Fund of regional politics Bektosh Berdiev.

As an example he has resulted activity of organization National Endowment for Democracy (NED - National fund of development of democracy) which for a long time from adjacent of Kirghiz territory undertakes attempts of creation in Uzbekistan to under inspection of it's networks "human rights" groups.

« In particular, registered in Kyrghyzstan as the nongovernmental organization « the Fund of assistance and support legal and economic reforms » recently has declared the next round of mini-grants within the framework of the project « Development of cooperation of human rights organizations of the Central Asia », financed by organization of National Endowment for Democracy. And in the conditions of competition published in the Internet it is directly informed, that in Uzbekistan grants will be given out to unregistered human rights organizations and groups », - has emphasized the analytician.

As has noted Bektosh Berdiev, « about any promotion of legal reforms in activity specified « Fund of assistance and support legal and economic reforms » cannot go and speeches as realization of grants agreements financed from the side of National Endowment for Democracy, initially assumes fulfilment of rough infringements of the Uzbek legislation ».

« It is obvious, that in this case financing of underground activity unregistered "human rights" and the politized structures pursues as the basic purpose creation of the mechanism of external influence on a political situation in Uzbekistan », - the independent expert has concluded.

National Endowment for Democracy under the status is the nongovernmental fund created in 1983 according to the instruction of Ronald Rejgana. The Board of directors consisting from twenty five people, appointed the Congress the USA supervises over activity of fund. NED has representation in Kyrghyzstan. Since 2002, annually finances the project « Development of cooperation of the human rights organizations of the Central Asia ». « The fund of assistance and support legal and economic reforms » is registered in the Ministry of Justice of Kyrghyzstan in 1996. The legal address of the organization - the city of Osh, Kyrghyzstan. Till 2005 within several years the fund participated in realization of the project « Rendering of legal aid to refugees in the south of Kyrghyzstan », financed by UNHCR the United Nations and Embassy of the USA in KR.
