The republic on this parameter takes last place in the list of the countries of Southeast Europe and the CIS according to the report of research center Innocenti of Children's fund of the United Nations, informs BBC.

As it is marked, Russia takes the fifth place, thus the situation strongly differs on regions: from 2 percent of poor children in Saint Petersburg up to 50 and is higher - in Tuva.

Experts Innocenti mark, that as a whole across Southeast Asia and the CIS in 1998-2003 number of children living in extreme poverty, has decreased for 44 percent - to 18 million people, however they make approximately a quarter of an aggregate number of children.

Thus, according to authors of the report, for this time position with children's poverty practically has not improved in Georgia, Uzbekistan and Kyrghyzstan. As a whole in the Central Asia, on Caucasus and in Moldova in extreme poverty lives about half of children.

The risk of poverty is higher for children till 6 years living in rural areas and the big families. For example, in Russia the level of poverty in families with two adults and one child makes 9 percent against 34 percent in families with two adult and three and more children.

In the best way in the investigated region, according to the report, position of children in Bosnia and Herzegovina (5 percent from the general number of children).
