07.04.2005 Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan has adopted an acquittal regarding the case of the well-known politician of the republic Felix Kulov. Five years ago during Askar Akayev’s regime he was condemned for 7 years of imprisonment and then for 10 years of imprisonment, for committing malfeasance during his work in national security. Supreme Court has cancelled judicial decisions adopted earlier regarding this case. In March of this year after the opposition
came to power, Kulov was released from the jail. He stated that if the
Supreme Court will acquit him he will run for presidency during presidential
elections which are to be held on June 26. |
