On March 18, 2004 members and supporters of KCHR in Vienna held a picket in front of the Hofburgh Palace where at that day OSCE Constant council was held.  The picket was dedicated to the second anniversary of Aksy tragedy, where during peaceful demonstration 6 people were killed, several dozens of people were injured and more than one hundred people became victims of tortures.  No one is forgotten, noting is forgotten.

The following demands were put forward during the mass-meeting:

  • OSCE should give a legal and political assessment of Aksy tragedy;
  • Initiators of Aksy tragedy should be punished;
  • OSCE should secure the registration of real KCHR, the Chairman of which is R. Dyryldaev;
  • Freedom to F. Kulov and others

More than twenty people participated in the picket. OSCE delegations, journalists and students joined the participants of the action.

This is already a second such action of KCHR in Vienna. KCHR held such action on September 19, 2001 during the speech of President of Kyrgyz Republic Askar Akayev on OSCE constant council, where he promised to 55 country delegations, which are members of OSCE, that his present anti-constitutional term is his last, and he will not run for Presidency anymore.
