In Astana ministers of foreign affairs of member states of Shanghai Organization for Cooperation will discuss pre-election situation in Kyrgyzstan and the ways of neutralizing in case of complications.

Bishkek, February 22. (KABAR). February 25, in Astana city the meeting of Council of Ministers of foreign affairs of member states of Shanghai
Organization for Cooperation will be held. During the meeting heads of foreign affairs agencies of Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and
Uzbekistan will exchange their opinions regarding all actual problems of regional and international character, including the issues of raising mutually
beneficial cooperation and security, and also the perspective direction of SOC development.

Ministers will discuss the results of Organization’s activities during the period after the meeting of the Council of heads of the members states on June
17, 2004 in Tashkent and after the meeting of the Council of prime ministers of members states on September 23, 2004 in Bishkek city.

During the meeting the issues regarding international contacts of SOC with other organizations and states will be of the most importance. It is planned that
heads of foreign affairs agencies will order SOC Secretariat to sign the according documents about cooperation of the Organization with CIS.

One of the most important questions on the agenda is discussion of inter-political situation in Kyrgyz Republic and in the Republic of Tajikistan
on the eve of parliamentarian elections in these countries. As a result of the meeting the final document will be signed – Joint informational message of
Ministers of foreign affairs of SOC member states.

Kyrgyzstan pays greatest attention to participation in the Organization, in the frameworks of which the constructive cooperation in the sphere of regional
security, fight against “three evils” – terrorism, extremism and separatism and being implemented. Separate attention to Organization’s achievements in the
sphere of practical realization of agreements of economic and trading character should also be paid.

Kyrgyz Republic fully supports the future development of SOC based on the principles of equality and openness of the Organization. The country welcomes
the development of international contacts of the Organization, which will enable SOC to strengthen its status on international arena and will allow
