| 25.02.2005 Bishkek – As it known, on February 23, 2005, well known doctor-expert in narcology Jenishbek Nazaraliev distributed his statement, in which he promises to leave Kyrgyzstan in case “if Akayev’s regime will remain”. Besides, as he informed AKIpress agency, the reaction of authorities to his statement has already started. In particular, according to Nazaraliev, yesterday Minister of health of KR Mitalip Mamytov was looking for him, he warned him by saying that members of President’s Apparatus of KR are looking for him. ”Yesterday evening three men came to narcology clinic in Beshkungei village (close to Bishkek)», J. Nazaraliev continued. According to him, they showed their ids from law enforcement bodies and tried to get on the territory of the clinic. They said that they wanted to enter the clinic in order to “check” something, however the security didn’t allow them to enter. J. Nazaraliev doesn’t deny the possibility of having violent reaction to his article, including, published in newspaper “MSN” on February 23. However he stated, that he will leave the country with his family. “I won’t be money less, I will be welcomed by any country, including America, Ukraine and others”, - J. Nazaraliev said. Let us remind, that in his statement J. Nazaraliev is turning to people and asking them to analyze the situation in the country. Doctor is asking people to turn their attention to how authorities are treating people: “You see that party “Alga, Kyrgyzstan!” is actively participating in the elections to Jogorku Kenesh. This party belongs to “Akayevs family”. They don’t consider anything: whether you are hungry or sick, whether you have any future or not, etc.” Besides this, leader J. Nazaraliev thinks that Askar Akayev as a scientist should deal with science, and not with politics. At the end of his letter he wrote “after publication probably they will take away my clinic, saint mountain Tashtar-Ata, World league “Mind free of drugs”, house etc. You can expect anything from them. But I am not afraid of them anyways”. against those who started conflicts in relation to “MSN” About twenty people created a conflict in the edition of the newspaper “MSN” by carrying signs with harsh words such as “MSN – AIDS”, “West, don’t love “MSN”, otherwise you will have AIDS”, “Prijivoit and Kim are the enemies of Kyrgyzstan”, “If we are Kyrgyz, you do not have own ancestors”. According to Toktorbek Janaliev, editor in chief of the newspaper “MSN”, in the beginning they were in front of the building, then they had signs with such bad words, in the end they came to the third floor of the edition office and kicked the doors of it. Staff of the edition assessed this as an open terror and as an action that influences the status of the employees and called the militia. When the journalists and militia came the participants closed their faces and did not identify themselves. When the militia staff asked them to provide documents, non of them had documents. One of the concerned called
himself Bakyt Turdubaev and expressed his opinion that the newspaper
is disgracing the Kyrgyz people: - I came to the “MSN” newspaper because of my personal work. In front of the building, I saw people standing with signs with bad and harsh words. I took away the signs from them and destroyed them. An operative group from the October district department of internal affairs took away the participants of this event along their signs. According to Ulanbek Rysbekov, a deputy chair of this department, they went in to the private building without permission, created a conflict, so they will be penalized: - They went in to the private building without permission, went to the third floor and created a conflict. This is hooliganism. Therefore they will be punished. Aziza Abdurasulova, a human rights defender came to the place of event and said that this was done in order to pressure the newspaper “MSN” by the government: - Militia took them very quickly without identifying them and without talking. This shows that there is a role of the government. They are the victims of this system. As a human rights defender, I am ready to protect their rights from the government. An observer Medet Jekishev

in effect the ruling of Kochkorskyi rayon court concerning the cancellation
of candidates registration from Kochkorskyi election district Akylbek
Japarov, Beishen Bolotbekov and Kurmanbek Baiterekov. This information

21, 2005, Kochkorskyi rayon court according to the accusations in vote
buying cancelled the registration of candidate Akylbek Japarov. At the
same day the court according to analogical accusations cancelled the
registration of candidate B. Bolotbekov. After this in Kochkorka mass
actions of protest started organized by supporters of these candidates,
participants of the demonstration are demanding to re-register mentioned
politicians. It should be pointed out that the numbers of heads of local
administrations are now supporting the protestors. As it was informed

that authorities are not only creating problems for independent politicians,
such as A. Japarov and A. Maliev, however they are also doing so in
relation to members of the right wing party “Moya strana” (my country).
On Thursday activists of this party Oksana Malevannaya and Zainidin
Kurmanov gave press-conference, during which they address their electors.: -We are being suppressed
as if we are members of Hisb-ut-Tahrir party or Kurdish working party.
I personally don’t feel myself as a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, I feel myself
as a soldier in some hot spot. I feel sorry, it feels like I am a stranger

Bishkek, on February 25 Sverdlovskyi rayon court of Bishkek, the leader of “Coalition for democracy and civil society” Edil Baisalvo was charged for 500 soms. As it was informed earlier, on February 5 of this year, representatives of Coalition “For democracy and civil society” together with leaders of other NGOs organized a meeting, in which 350 activists of different public organizations and different political parties participated. City AIA stated that during the meeting the acting legislation was violated, and the rights and interests of other citizens as well were violated. Members of AIA of Bishkek city prepared according material and were sent to the court. These materials against Mamasaliev and Baisalov were fabricated, members of law enforcement bodies forced owners of flower shops to write complaints against participants and organizers of the meeting. Organizers of the meeting according to the legislation notified beforehand the authorities about the meeting, however on the day of the meeting the square was surrounded by national guard.
