E. Baisalov: Amount of violations during the elections influences the election results

Bishkek – We cannot consider the second round parliamentary elections of March 13, 2005 as free and fair. The leader of Coalition “For democracy and civil
society” Edil Baisalov declared about this on March 14, 2005 in Information Agency AKIpress. “Organization of second round elections was worse than first
round. There was no equal access for political parties to participate in elections, numbers of manipulations were done with voters lists, pressure from the side of administrative institutions was observed”, declared E. Baisalov.

According to his words, massive putting of ballots for the benefit of governmental candidates was observed, there are facts on conducting campaigns on elections day, and massive transporting of people to the polling stations by governmental candidates was observed, particularly for the benefit of Bermet Akayeva.

In conclusion he pointed that amount of violations during the elections of March 13, is so high that it directly influences the election results.
