19.03.2005: Kyrgyzstanis Abroad - Unite Appeal of the Coordination Council of Kyrgyzstanis Abroad 20 March 2005

Having realized in this vital situation that only united we can stand
against the corrupt state powers, the Kyrgyz community abroad is
calling for all the progressive opposition forces to unify under the
common banner "Together with people - against Akaev".

In this historical moment, no single person, no single politician, no
single party, no single movement may remain indifferent in a whirl of
revolutionary activity the main hero of which is the Kyrgyz people.

Tens of thousands of Kyrgyzstanis have come out on the streets risking
their freedoms and lives to fight until the last breath for the
democratic change, the right to dignified life, and the right for the
choice of future.

The major task of the opposition, political and social movements, and
political leaders is not to betray the hopes of common people.

We, Kyrgyzstanis abroad, who by the will of fate were carried away
from our homeland, do not intend to step aside and watch.

Today we created the Coordination Council of all Kyrgyz opposition
forces abroad, which included the residents of the US, UK, Russia,
Switzerland, Germany and other states all over the world.

Indeed, we are thousands of miles apart. We are separated by oceans.
Yet we feel each other, simply because we are united by one objective,
one purpose and we all come from our long-suffering nation.

The immediate task of the Coordination Council at this point is to
organize meetings all over the world. The purpose of them is to let
the international arena know about the events in Kyrgyzstan, and to
collect some funds for further activities of people.

These are the demands of the Coordinating Council of the Kyrgyz
citizens abroad to the rotting authoritarian regime of Akaev:

1. To avoid bloodshed and civil war, voluntarily transfer the power to
the People.

2. Be reasonable, no matter what the circumstances are, do not give
reckless orders to the military and police forces to use force and
weapons against your own People. Remember, this time these weapons can
be pointed at you. Do not try to appeal for the assistance of foreign
military forces. Remember! your children and your future generations
will live in Kyrgyzstan. And if you make a fatal mistake today and
will let the bloodshed, you will NOT be forgiven - not only by the
Kyrgyz people, but by your grandchildren and grand-grandchildren. In
the history of our country you will be the tyrant cast-off by your own
people.

3. Before your resignation, free all political prisoners including
Felix Kulov. This might help rehabilitate your ascendancy.

4. Do not demand any guarantees. After 15 years of your mediocre rule
which led the country to poverty and destruction, no one will give you
guarantees of security. Justice should be made.

This is the appeal of the Coordinating Council to our People:
Dear fellow countrymen,

We, the Kyrgyz people, who live far away from our country, are
thankful for your courage and perseverance. We are far away, but our
hearts are with you. You have our full support. We encourage you to
find strength to finish what you have started and to outcast Akaev
from his thrown, which he is still trying to preserve.

Let us all say "No" to the corrupted authority in the name of bright
future of Kyrgyzstan for the sake of democracy.

God help us!
